In vitro study | Luminol concentration is an important factor that affects Chemiluminescence (CL) intensity. The intensity of Luminol chemiluminescence (LCL) does not depend on the concentration of Luminol alone, but also on other factors like concentration of oxidizing agents, enzymes, and pH. Maximum recorded CL intensity was at a Luminol concentration of 0.3 mM. CL intensity increased linearly with increasing concentrations of Luminol in the range of 0.01 to 0.3 mM. However, further increases of Luminol concentration caused a decrease in CL intensity. |

Use | RP substrate: Luminol (3-amino-phthalic hydrazide) is the earliest used, most widely used and high quantum yield One of the chemiluminescent reagents. Since the Albrecht first reported the chemiluminescence behavior of luminol and oxidant in alkaline solution in 1928, the chemiluminescence reaction has been mainly used to determine oxidant and inorganic metal ions. In recent years, while further studying the chemiluminescence reaction, it has been combined with many analytical techniques, which has expanded its application range and has been widely used in various analytical fields including drug analysis and biochemical analysis. |
biological activity | Luminol sodium salt is a chemiluminescent substance with pKa values of 6.74 and 15.1. The optimum fluorescence wavelength of Luminol sodium salt is 425 nm. Luminol sodium salt is often used as a diagnostic tool for forensic blood detection, and is used in criminal investigation, bioengineering, chemical tracing and other fields. |
